Íò²©¹ÙÍø sociology students Allison Ambler and Brooke Perez-Bissell tied for second place in the undergraduate paper session at the Mid-South Sociological Association conference Oct. 24-26. Ambler presented original research on The Influence of Religiosity on the Opinion of Prayer in Public School. Perez-Bissell presented original research on Choice and the Church.

“When my students win a competitive award like this, it is just icing on the cake of an overall amazing experience for them,” said Theresa Davidson, director of Íò²©¹ÙÍø’s sociology program. “They get to network with other sociology students, sociology faculty, and they are always excited to learn about the varied research that is happening in the discipline.”
